Unfortunately, misinformation is currently circulating about the Deutschlandsemesterticket. According to the HAW homepage, we as the AStA are responsible for issuing an analog ticket. Quote from the HAW homepage:
"In exceptional cases, it should also be possible to use a card as a semester ticket / Germany ticket. This will cost 15 euros. Please contact the AStA of HAW Hamburg, which is the contact point for students as a contractual partner of S-Bahn Hamburg GmbH:

Understandably, we have received various requests from you.
UNFORTUNATELY, WE HAVE NO INFORMATION ABOUT THIS! We are not currently checking eligibility for the ticket, nor do we have the option of issuing you with an analog ticket. We also do not know when or under what conditions you will receive this ticket. We are very sorry about this. We will of course continue to do everything we can to support you with any other questions you may have. If we have any new information, we will share it with you.

One last thing:
We think it goes without saying that students who cannot or do not want to use a smartphone for their ticket should be able to use an analog version at no extra cost. Unfortunately, we currently have no influence on the decision to charge 15 euros for this.
