In the last semesters we started to make anti-fascist cultural events about swing.

This year we plan to continue this with another big celebration on campus with some other swing dancers.

Dance, music and art are then as now, not only nice accessories of our society. Dancers, musicians and other artists use them to express feelings, longings, dreams and thus to rebel against a system with which they do not agree. Dance can be part of cultural resistance. Resistance against a system of suppression, narrowness and competition. By dancing at eye level, the mask of anonymity can also be broken among themselves. In this way a common, alternative, solidary culture can begin.

 

In this context, we are further expanding our cooperation with "Lola swingt"! The next Lola Swing Party will take place on January 25th. For HAW students, admission is free of charge upon presentation of their student ID card.
